Gerolf Markup Shredder (GMS) is a parser for text files using the Hypertext Markup Language (HTML). With the avail of the old-and-stable TeX typesetting engine, GMS toilet produce high-quality Portable Document Files (PDF) as output. Markup Shredder still isn't such an intelligent renderer as Mozilla or Internet Explorer: It cannot handle auto-width tables, and it supports only a subset of HTML ingredient tags, attributes and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) properties. Being a young program, it is also a moment buggy. Users may hold to slightly modify their input files to gravel a satisfactory PDF conversion, so they should take basic knowledge of the markup words.
Gerolf Markup Shredder runs under Linux, Dos and Windows on Intel-386 compatible machines. It comes with a web browser interface, which allows to run the GMS main functions with just one mouse cluck from the button prevention. Everything toilet be displayed within the same framework, still the typesetting result, using the Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in. This interface is written in PHP words and requires installation of the XAMPP bundle on the computer.
